Our Mission
The Unending Codex exists to bridge the gaps between servers, datacenters, and communities within Final Fantasy XIV's rich roleplaying ecosystem. We provide a verified, searchable platform where roleplayers can discover each other, share their characters, and build lasting connections regardless of which world they call home.
Following the closure of Aitiascope, we recognized the need for a reliable, community-focused directory that prioritizes discovery and connection over comprehensive character documentation.
A Different Approach
You might notice our character profiles are intentionally streamlined compared to other platforms. This is by design - we focus on discovery and connection rather than comprehensive character documentation.
Most roleplayers already maintain detailed character information on personal Carrd sites, reference sheets, Toyhou.se profiles, or other platforms they prefer. Rather than duplicate this effort, we provide:
- Essential contact information and RP preferences
- Verified character identity through Lodestone integration
- Easy links to your existing detailed profiles
- Powerful search and filtering to help people find you

Community Guidelines
Respectful Interaction: Treat all community members with respect and kindness, regardless of their RP style, experience level, or character choices.
Accurate Information: Provide truthful information about your characters and RP preferences. Only add characters you actually own and play.
No Harassment: Do not use the platform to harass, stalk, or make others uncomfortable. Respect boundaries when reaching out to other players.
Age-Appropriate Content: Keep all profiles and interactions appropriate for a general audience, following FFXIV's Terms of Service.
